Open Letter to Shawl-Anderson Dance Center Community

I recently left my position at SADC and wanted to tell my version of what led to these events. White supremacy culture and structural racism I experienced were a large part of this decision.

I thought SADC was going to be my dream job...a place I was going to work, grow, and contribute to for many years. While that turned out not to be the case, I do believe if SADC commits to an active anti-racist practice, it could become that place for future dancers and arts administrators.
